Plus, the cooking system is by far my favourite form of crafting I've ever come across.
I learned how to fry a pie the other day. :D

I'd pick up the Switch in a heartbeat if it had access to Nintendo's Virtual Console store.
I've got ever so slightly less need for the Virtual Console now since I just picked up a SNES Mini.

I just got one too!
But I now have a crisis of conscience; do I keep it for myself (and I already have far too many games and an extensive backlog), or do I give it to my nephew for Christmas?
I suspect it's going to be option 2 :(

The SNES mini is nice (picked one up a month or so ago) but it's also missing stuff like Chrono Trigger and Gradius III, so I'm still doing the VC thing.

Chrono Trigger is a glaring omission from the Mini, yes, but it's also one of the few SNES games I've already completed so I can live with it (or without it, rather). Would've been nice to get a chance to replay it obviously, but such is life.
Also, I'm really glad I don't have a nephew. ;)

Use of an emulator would have been better imo. The mini doesn't even have Shadowrun, NBA Jam or Chronotrigger on there. Come on.

I have all the games from the mini snes I want to play already on the wii and wii-u VC. The wii virtual console catalogue is actually very deep, they have pretty much anything you can think of. I wonder when nintendo will shut the service down.

Like the NES Classic, you can add roms to the thing with a minimum of effort. And chances are good anything extra you add will be supported by the UI, too.

I have one, and I was able to add Chrono Trigger, and yes, it is supported by the UI. I couldn't add every game I wanted, but as I was loading them on I realized that the more stuff I put on it, the less interested I was in playing it. Somehow it doesn't feel as special when it's just a place to dump every rom you can find. I left Chrono Trigger (and DK Country II) on, but otherwise I'm leaving it stock.

Hey, did anyone (I'm looking at you Renz) pick up Xenoblade for the Switch? Interested in hearing opinions, I see it's getting pretty decent reviews.
