If you want to try and change opinions, bjack, then I'd suggest doing a catbarf. His (?) gun thread posts (non-accusatory, non-inflammatory and lucidly explanatory) were excellent, I thought, and did more to change my opinion of gun-toting Americans being complete lunatics than anything else I've read anywhere.

Hi Nickie. Yes, I do like catbarf’s responses in many cases. I was really trying to lay low for a long time. I decided to stay away and only comment on the FM pages about FMs. This page just did not interest me anymore and I didn’t want to fight about anything. I was not interested in changing opinions, or frankly anything... And then I snapped with the Nice thing. Posted with passion, not with intelligence. Oh well, what is done is done and I am gone.
For those that wish to keep on with the tread in free form to whatever is semi-related, have at it. Enjoy. Peace, ya’ll.
