I'm having a problem. I'm in this sponsored Pick'em pool, and haven't done to well.. but for week 4 i'm in sharing the lead, with a 12-1 record, and the last game could decide who wins the $250 for the best week result. I'm pretty broke right now, so that could really help :)
It's Packers at Eagles, with Eagles the favorite with -11,5 points.
I'm really not sure what to pick. I did pick the Packers here because of the spread. But then again Favre is 0-4 in Philly and if the Eagles can put together a 4 quarters of football like it played against the Giants they'll kill the Packers. But then again :) And so on...
You have any ideas?

Well, if you're just looking to win, go with the Eagles.
If you're looking to score big, go with the Packers.
That said, I don't think I'd go with the Packers for much of anything this year, unless they're playing the Lions.

(first of all it's free so it doesn't cost me anything.. it's just a sponsored thing I got an invite to, I'm not a gambling man).
The thing is:
The Eagles are favored as a 11.5 favorite, so you have to subtract that.
Do I believe the Eagles will win with 12 or more points, then I pick the Eagles, if I think the Eagles will win with 11 or less (or the Packers win it) I pick the Packers.
With the way the Eagles D have been playing I'm not certain that they wont keep Favre and the boys from putting up some points to keep it close. Or?

Philly will beat the spread, you can have no worries about that.

I would go with the Packers. Favre hasn't been spectacular, but he can still play. The Eagles will win, but probably not by 12 points. Look at their average PPG's so far this season: Eagles 28.7, Packers 19.3. The difference is less than 10, so, at 11.5, yeah, I'd pick the Packers.

It's hard. I really appreciate your advice.
My instinct tells me to go with the Packers, and expect a 7 point Eagles win, but then I remember the way Philly killed the Giants for the first three quarters and I'm compelled to chose Philly.
But the again last week Philly won by 14 against the 49ers, and in my mind Packers has a lot better offense than SF.
