In addition the trailer features a car chase with a classic custom pickup truck, and the legendary
Cobra had a similar one with Sly's classic custom muscle car... And it even looks like the same shade of grey :p
I'm soooo glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. :o

Oh shit it's Tango & Cash to the power of Jet Li.

Been looking forward to this film since I read about it in Empire half a year ago.

Sly, Lundgren, rumours of an Arnie cameo... Statham, Jet Li and Token Black Guy.
Don't forget Mickey Rourke, Danny Trejo, Eric Roberts and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Is the presence of Jason Statham basically a death knell for movie quality? Possibly the early Guy Ritchie movies aside, I know some people liked those.
Can Sylvester Stalone write? Apparently he wrote some later Rocky/Rambo films but I'm not sure how much that's really worth.
Finally:
"Charisma Carpenter as Lacy, Lee Christmas' fiancee."
It's really depressing to me to see her career totally self destruct post-Buffyverse.

Stallone has over 20 written and filmed scripts in his resumé, inlcuding all the Rocky and Rambo films. And Statham's movies are usually reliably kick-ass.

Not just the later ones, or as henke says the volume of scripts he's written: he was nominated for an Oscar for the Rocky screenplay, and it won best picture that year. It's a legit well written drama.
With the cartoonish shit he was later associated with - the Rambo and Rocky sequels in particular - people tend to forget what a great story the first Rocky is.
And the last Rocky Balboa wasn't a classic, but it held up pretty well. Recaptured some of the feel of the first movie, and wiped away some of the cheeze factor that had settled on to the franchise over the last 25 years. He also did a really good job of subtly working in references to the other films without hitting you over the head. I went in expecting little and was shocked at how much I liked it, even on repeat viewings.
He's not Orson Welles as a writer, but when he's on his game, he can do the job.

Didn't realize he had written the original (not really sure how I missed than in my IMDB view of his resume). And yeah, I did here good things about Balboa.
Though of course it's pretty apparent he's not exactly shooting for an Oscar-bait drama here. Maybe I'm just missing the boat? It's hard to tell from the trailer who seriously the film is taking itself. Not very, I guess, which is always a plus.
But hey, I'm taking (

Disputing Butterfly Effect's inclusion on that list right here right now.

Yeah, that film was just plain old bad.
