Yes, it is intentional.
When Thief III came out there were a few complaints that plot points were being revealed in the Last Post column and spoiling the game for people who had no intention of reading the forum.
Since then we've made it a policy to hide the Last Post thread title for all games that have a forum for a minimum of 12 months following their release.
