Anyone else have a problem with thief2 1.19 crashing on exit ?
Oh, yeah. I was gonna reply but forgot.
I have the game crash when exiting on some complex FMs, sometimes. Hasn't happened to me in awhile though, so I'm not sure if it's still an (non)issue.
(PS: Linux user with (
http://www.winehq.org/) Wine, BTW)
Which just leaves me to ask:
Is there any other Linux users out there using the 1.19 patch, besides me? :cheeky:
Second PS: Can someone remind me to post footage of the game? I've discovered good evidence of that graphical bug I was experiencing awhile back. I'm not 3D rendering-minded enough to put into words what the issue is, but when I figure out how to get footage I'll share it with you all.

OMG! I've been away for some months playing other games (please forgive me, lol) and then I purchased the latest PC Gamer. That's when I came across this wonderful patch. After a clean install and applying 1.18 an 1.19 all I can say is...WOW! Thanks to the person(s) who worked on and posted this on the French site and to the OP who told us here about it.
Quick question though or maybe some clarification: The Dromed patch for 1.18...is that still required at all or is there a newer version? Darkloader (newest version I suppose) work fine with this? I saw some posts saying it was but 30 pages makes for tough reading, lol. Maybe put this info in the OPs main post with the install instructions? Thanks all.

Can anyone tell me where can I find the textures in Dromed 1.19?

Any ideas why Thief2 doesn't tell me when I complete an objective or find a secret? It's strange, since the game is working and everything looks cool besides this. Also, I'm on win7 ultimate, this is a fresh 1.19 install via latest Tafferpatcher.

That's... GREAT! After 13 years of playing the Thief series, I just forget something easy like this! Thank you, anyway! :D I'm so stupid!:idea:

Yes. Works fine here (wine 1.4, nvidia drivers).

I did a quick test on my xubuntu machine, no issues (apart from being forced to run in windowed mode even for fullscreen, parts of the desktop were visible unless I did that), but the integrated intel gpu is too slow to produce decent framerates - it barely plays the game when running the game natively (xp), so no surprise there.

Kewl. I am just now getting my Llano rig to work: Radeon HD 6530D with 4x processing from the AMD A6-3650 APU.
And the proprietary drivers, I must warn you guys, are unstable with wine D3D. Stuff is all laggy, so I recommend waiting a bit for Catalyst driver updates.
UPDATE: For reasons too longwinded and OT to list, I'm jumping ship to Debian. Goodbye Ubuntu, you stuffy POS...
OK, I can't stay mad at you forever. You can stay on my lesser systems. :p

Not that I want this as a feature in 1.19, but is there a way to hook in a keybind to Thief to toggle off/on the HUD in-game, for clean screenshots, instead of going in by hand and being stuck with the decision and saving, leaving the game, etc? A side-saddle program, or line of code? I'm only wondering about how possible, thanks.
