Hi guys,
there is a bug with fm (
http://thiefmissions.com/m/torben#m) Torben - The Traitor (thief 1 fm). At the very beginning of the mission there is a rope to catch in order to get out of a well.
In V1.19, the rope is shorter and uncatchable.
In V1.18, the rope is longer and catchable.
Does anyone can try and confirm that ?
ps : i also had this problem in (
http://thiefmissions.com/m/pb) Payback fm, but i've tried something that worked, i put the option "Attach Ladder : touch" instead of "Attach Ladder : jump"

You can get it (
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_43) HERE. Normally, it's risky D/L-ing such files from DLL sites, but I've downloaded and installed this file from here and it's safe.
Drop it into the
system32 folder.

Thanks ..... it took me some time to find a good download-link for directx ... and now the game runs relativ good ....
The only problem I got is that the textures appears a few seconds later :confused:

Are you using an OpenGL card? How much texture memory is on the card? What resolution are you running?
Also, carefully read the notes that came with New Dark, as there are some config variables that probably need tweaking.

I've had a few months off from playing Thief, and have just come back today to find this thread, having totally missed the big news! Just installed the 1.19 updates and BOOM, works perfectly. It's also fixed a few little graphics bugs I was having before as well. I love it. Am I the last one at TTLG to see the new patch?! :wot: :cool: :thumb:

no - I'm pretty sure the next batch of "hey a new patch, installed it and now I need d3dx9_43.dll" people is just around the corner.
