I have yet to install the new 1.19 fixes to both thief games and SS2 but I was wondering, would it be possible to somehow update the Ultimate Difficulty Mod and maybe integrate it into Tfix for example? I know it's asking a lot but I find it really has some positive qualities that enhance the gameplay, especially for veteran Taffers. At the same time, I know it breaks some FM's cause they just weren't designed for it. Maybe if someone capable tweaks it a bit, it would be greatly appreciated by many I think. Any thoughts?

I bet that someone could do something with dml to up the sensitivity of all AIs who inherit their awareness &ct. from the standard archetypes. Concrete AIs and fan mission specific AIs could not be affected that way though.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone, for the recent patches. I'm having the most incredible nostalgia rush right now. It's actually almost making me cry. I spent a lot of time with Thief and being able to play it again for the first time after almost 6 years, is just incredible.

There an idea! Again, I have no clue as to how one would go about doing that, but I can't possibly be the only one who enjoyed the more vigilant/realisitc AI and "28 weeks later"-like zombies. I've been playing with the UDM for some time and I can't go back, I tried haha.

I dunno where that 1.19 issues thread is, but I wanted to point out that there is one older FM out there that uses global fog which is broken in Newdark -- Raid On Washout Central.
It always had issues with fog, even in the days of Si02's first fog fix. So how should it be fixed or whatever?

I'm having a good deal of misfortune getting this patch to work with Thief Gold. I've followed the installation instructions, checked out the readme in the /docs/t1.zip directory, changed the game running to read 'dark1' exclusively (sans apostrophes), and still, no dice. The game boots, and crashes immediately. I've looked for ; enable Thief 1 compatibility in cam_ext.cfg and found no such line. I'm at quite a wall here with no clue what solutions to try.
Anyone care to treat me like an idiot and give me a step-by-step setup for a fresh install? If it's of any assistance, I am running a GoG copy on WinXP.
I'm the idiot. Are the GoG copies playable on all Windows 7 PCs/laptops? I've been away from the community for a very long time and have given up hope on playing TDP, T2, and SS2 on modern systems, and the FAQs in Thief General have honestly only confused me even more.

Install 1.19 and everything should just work.

Has anyone ever gotten the spiral stair tool working reliably? How about the normal square tool with 1.19?

I guess there is no harm in asking here:
Does anyone have any idea how to contact the author of 1.19 update? We'd love to add it to GOG releases, but obviously cannot do that without his / her approval.
