Objectively speaking, it is indeed an improvement and fix from a previous limitation.

Sometimes. Sometimes both are correct, only seemingly in contradiction. Sometimes both are wrong. Sometimes a two value system is insufficient to understand nuances. Sometimes. :p

Anyway it's fine. LarryG can update his missions to get the aesthetic look he wants -- it's a little work -- but it'll work out.
I'm going to add something here from the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124169&page=30&p=2144152&viewfull=1#post2144152) multiplayer thread. It seems Tos's multiplayer is not compatible with 1.19 at the moment, and we're not sure if we can get back in touch with Tos to make it so. But if the 1.19 dev(s) happen read this, and if they're thinking about a future update, it'd be cool if they could either make sure it's compatible with MP, or even better, integrate Tos's work into a future update so T1 & T2 can be made multiplayer if someone turns on the option.
Edit: Of course for that latter option, the team would have to contact Tos behind the scenes to get his sourcecode & so they can work together on it. That's what I was thinking.

Yeah, I really like the idea of baked-in multiplayer for T2. Hell, it was almost baked-in in the retail version.

Personally I think the Mystery Development Consortium's first priority is easier/better ways to get new character and object models and animations into the game. Everything else seems readily updateable now.
(of course this may be irrelevant for reasons I'm not familiar with)

anodal mirrors updated by yours truly to add the mystery hex fix for sun shadow bug in dromed. Links remain the same, checksums have changed:

I'd advise other hosts to use these files to update their mirrors so the checksums remain consistent throughout :)

I just tried this in Running Interference and could not reproduce.
Hmm I installed fresh from the complete collection disc and then installed the patch run the game (looks sweet) picked up cheese in the room outside the first two guards, went to scroll through my inventory (with mouse wheel) to get to my health potion and it only scrolled between the cheese and the key I picked up to open the door. I used the cheese and could scroll through the lot again. Thought it was weird so I picked up bread in the kitchen area and sure enough scrolling only between the bread and health potion this time.

Hey Fafhrd,
Are you using nvidia 3d vision kit for stereo 3D? I've spent the last couple of days trying to get it to work but have had no success. Is there anything you had to configure to get it working or did it work right off the bat? If anyone has any tips for me I'd surely appreciate it, thanks all!
Works with Nvidia 3dvision if you install the IZ3d driver here :

Encountered what
may be an issue with ropes: grabbing hold of one can kill you! That said, I have no way to confirm that it's an issue introduced with 1.19, and I couldn't reproduce it, so I can't test whether it's the result of some interaction with the new mantle code (which I have enabled) or not. Has anyone ever been killed as a result of jumping onto a rope pre-1.19?
Yes, maybe a dozen times over the years.

Yeah, it's the classic deadly and/or startling Rope Bounce, which happens to some taffers frequently, and most, infrequently. It's about as common as Garrett's S.H.A.S. bug.
