Yes, I have searched.
With that out of the way I would like to ask for opinions. I have not done any enchanting yet. Last night I trapped a golden saint in a grand soul gem. What do you think that I should do with it?
My favorite weapons are a dwarven crossbow and my new love a daidric katana. Should I do anything with the weapons or is there a smarter use of the grand soul gem?

well seeing as i have almost every daedric weapon known...and im trying to get my daedric armor:ebil: i would say enchant heavy armor with feather constant effect..i have ebony on right now...takes up alotta weight...or you can feather heavy wepons too..like my 90 pound daedric battale axe:wot: you can make constant fortify strength...fortify anything for that matter..while we are on the subject anyone have good ideas for vivecs soul uses?

Hmmm... well although golden saints can provide constant effect enchantments they also give the best charge for weapons (im excluding vivic for obvious reasons).
It really depends on what sort of character you are and what you find most useful...
Popular weapon enchantments include elemental damage and absorb health, sometimes people like to combine these with paralyze or soul trap but a few people like to have restore health and fatigue enchantments on strike...
Powerful armour (and clothes) enchantments tend to be constant effect fortify spells and constant effect sanctuary, feather and chameleon - spells where the effect can be stacked so the armour as a set provides a greater bonus to the wearer.
Generally amulets and rings hold all sorts of spells like constant effect water breathing, night eye, and levitation. Other common 'cast when used' enchantments include open spells, and more commonly very powerful elemental spells often combined with paralyze which take advanatge of the item's greater ability to hold enchantment.
This is a very general overview but if you provide some more information about your character i'm sure i could suggest some more specific enchantments.
Cheers :)

Thank you for your time. My character is a 24th level Redguard. To this point I have been playing him rather simplistically as a fighter-thief. Strenght is 100 and sneak is 99 so now (after having gotten my feet wet (and my wife very angry)) I am beginning to turn my attention to magika.

One note : Don't ever bother with Feather unless you are trying to rp, are using a plugin where it has been made worthwhile or carry close to 0 weight. You will get the same magnitude of Feather as you will Fortify Strength, but Strenght is 5 times as effective as Feather and it helps some of your skills + your melee damage. However if you are usually carrying close to 0 weight (not very likely if you are using daedric stuff) then sometimes Feather can make you jump higher and run faster than you would with the same amount of Strength.

i was about to say the same thing...FEATHER SUCKS PEOPLE. I remember enchanting items with feather first time around, and had the starteling revalation that fortifying strength was the way smarter way to go...i carry 800 pounds. and about the jumping thing, just add 4 points to your jump skill with some exquisite pants or something.
And constant effect levitate sucks too, it just ends up messing you up, its slow and frustrating....just cast the spell when you need it. i get almost anywere i want to anyway with 100 acrobatics skill and fortify jump 4 points.
