returning from spider caves I'm not able to enter any of the rooms populated by goblins without being noticed, so I am wandering if I've missed something:
- I'm not able to enter the rooms in stealth key mode and perform any action, as it is not dark enough (could I turn off the torches - Thieflike :) - ? )
- it' seems to be impossible to kill a pair of goblins, just fighting with a little knife
I gave a glimpse at the walkthrough, which refers to stealth or fighting action as a simple task... no to me ... :)
any suggestion?, thanks

Find a better weapon, use some spells - should have fire attack spells now, yes? Sneak up and try to backstab them, they are killable just keep stabbing away at them, it's easier if you have good scores in strength and close comabt stats.

if by spider caves you mean the caves before arx, give the note to the trolls then talk to the goblin in their camp. if you mean the few holes with spiders in them before the 2 bridges area then bypass the goblins for now and keep going down. theres a cave behind the wall after crossing the first bridge. if there is a troll in your path, youve gone the wrong way.
btw killing everything never solves your problem. if the advice youll give is killing everything mercilessly then just dont post.

He asked why fighting and sneaking wan't as simple as the manual perceived, the adivce i gave him is how to get better at combat not a directive to murder everything in game, infact he wouldn't be able to complete the game if he did that, anyone who had finished the game would know that. That said combat is an important part of the game you can't be a pacifist ingame either.

woah. that wasnt just directed at you, it was directed at anyone who just posts kill them and see if that solves it sort of answeres. i was pretty tired at the time i posted it so if it seems like it was directed towards you... frankly while i wouldnt have meant to offend you, i really wouldnt give a damn. first of all
a) he either wasnt sure of what to do next so he was killing blindly, which is obviosly not part of the story and would completely ruin any slight storyline of the game by doing so.
b) he has played the game and knows simple basicas and is wanting advice on fighting.
becasue of his post, wording and questions he obviously hadnt been through the game yet. so by telling him a way to mindlessly kill would have ruined it. anyway you look at it, your advice would have been the wrong way to do things. but since you had to get angry and go on the defensive for a comment so insignificant you forced me to retaliate with the error of your reply. it seems we were both wrong. nice job:thumb:

Do we really have to argue with each other? Tozzifan just asked for some help, and I'm sure he appreciates two different opinions about how to complete Arx. But the extra comments were not needed.
