Have you installed the Editor into the wrong folder?
Your Ion Root says C:\Programfiler\Thief3 Edit whereas your error message you posted in this thread says Current Directory : C:\Programfiler\Thief3\System

Yeah, but the error message is from the manual renaming method. Since then I've renamed the directories back to try to get the launcher to work. I get no error message from the launcher. I quite simply get nothing, not even the tinyest of blinks from the green lamp that indicates that the HD is working.

Once you have attempted to start the editor do any of the following appear in the Processes tab of the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete)?
T3.exe
T3ed.exe
T3Main.exe

Nothing. Only the launcher itself shows up.

Shouldn't there be quotation marks if "Thief3 Edit" has a space? I put my installation in "C:\Thief3\Thief3Edit" with no spaces and never had the problems that everyone else seems to be having.

I changed it around now. It didn't make any difference.
