No inconvenience. I just can't get it to work. I have the heal spell in my book but when I cast it nothing happens.
However I'm rolling along without it, (although much rather be able to use it) and just now got the shield of ancients, or whatever it's called. Had to use the walkthrough again to figure that one out. Sheesh. Tough game! Although I do admit to sucking ass at puzzles, they seem exceptionally hard in this game.
Took me a long time how to figure out killing the zombies, but finally got that thank God. Still the game is a lot of fun, although the fireball spell seems almost too effective.
Anyway appreciate your help.

I think I now know your problem with casting heal, your Casting skill is low. You should boost that since the level of spells you can cast and the effectiveness of the spell.
As for the Heal spell, I think it was 20 or 30 points in Casting to actually be able to use the spell.

My casting is at 48 so I don't understand what is happening.
I cast mega vitae and both runes will light up, as it should, but nothing happens which sucks because it's a pretty easy spell to cast.
I just got the shield and defeated the lich but had to use 9 of my life potions and only have 4 left. I'm now glad I saved them because that was a tough fight. My problem now is I don't have the ingredients to make many more life potions and I have a feeling I've got the toughest part of the game coming up.
I'm not even sure what to do now. I have shown both artifacts to Lumshire and the leader of the skake ladies. All the king says is "thanks" and all the leader of the snake lady says is "keep your toy", "now tell me where the rebel camp is" lol.
I know I have to go back to the Abkaa temple and do something, but not sure what.

You need to go to the temple of Akbaa and destroy the meteor. To do that you need the two rings Krahoz and Zohark. One is obtained by going through the trial of the Sisters and the other is gotten from the rebels.
Also, to get to the rebels you need to save thier captain in the Temple of Akbaa.
As for the Healing bit, I have no clue why it isn't working.

I have both rings so I guess I'll head over there and see what happens.
As far as the heal thing goes I have no idea either. I checked around this forum and the RPG.dot forum and can't find anyone else with the problem.
Ah well, I've made it this far with life potions.

You could try Life Steal (You have to get up close to them). I think the runes are Vitae Movis, just watch your mana because it drains it like crazy when active.
