You know, I'd really (really) love to go to a get together like this, but, similar to dethtoll's case, the timing is bad--besides, who'd want me around? I'd probably just get drunk, steal a garbage truck, and end up murdered by a hooker.

And anyway I'm a lot poorer than most of you realize. Yeah we can afford things like internet and cable in addition to basic necessities like food and electricity but I had to wait 3 months before I could get $50 together to buy a fucking PSU.

You sound like me DT. I'm sitting here with a printer that's decided things only look good in green. Yeah, I know I can get a workable printer for $30. If only I could walk everywhere I need to go next week instead of driving the car... :(

I'd come, but I've just been vacationing in NYC for a week and am not looking forward to coming back. Plus, no way I can make it in May. BLEH.

Bit of an update, I'm proposing a TTLG meet of sorts on the weekend of Saturday the 6th June, feel free to hit up NYC on Friday night for shenanigans also and Sunday post-game hangover mop-up will also inevitably occur.
I'm deferring entirely to RBJ on this for his expert advice on What To Do in NYC for as much as he is available. There will be no express need on my part to do anything horribly touristy, unless that's the general consensus - dependent on who else is thinking of showing up.
My ability to attend any and all shenanigans may be somewhat restricted due to being on vacation with my wife and young daughter, though cavalry may be arriving in the form of a doting mother-in-law who might free us up for that particular weekend. I'll need to advise on that closer to the time.
If this weekend isn't doable for everyone then I arrive on Fri 29th May, so the Saturday/Sunday of 30th/31st is also workable.
