Saul from, Robobcop, drug factory scene - "Jussst kidiiing!"
I think its a great idea. Gad it can get anti XBox in some of the forums and I for 1 think that getting an XBox audience and an XBox section is inspired.
Go TTLG admins! :thumb:

You know, today I read in the local newspaper that they're going to buy a submarine for tourists to explore the nearby lake. But then, something dawned to me...
Ahem - go go, TTLG! :thumb:

How about a PS2 and Gamecube section? Unless they want to accused of blatant bias.

I'd just like to point out that the XBox post was made on 31st March. . . :p

Judging by the dates and times, and the time zones of those involved, my first thought would be that it's a joke. I very much hope it's not, this place seriously needs a general discussion forum other than CommChat that can evolve and change to talk about something besides cheap-ass gameplay tricks that don't deserve the effort required to write half of a paragraph, let alone ten threads and a poll. XBox, Gamecube, PS2, we need more forums with a wide-audience reach and a wide variety of topics.
Hell, TTLG needs anything it can grab a hold of to keep it from drowning in its own boredom.

AHAHAAA APIRL FLOSS!
¬¬
That was actually a silly gag dreamed up by Dave and gigglingly supported by I. Although it became apparent that maybe it's not such a bad idea after all...
Truth of the matter is that a lot of us do play on the consoles (all of them, not just X-Box) and it might not be such a stupid idea to fess up to that fact. As far as a dedicated forum (or set of forums) I'm not sure.
Saam had a very valid comment in that GenGaming -- while a hell of a lot more active than it was a year or so ago -- is still extremely underused by comparison with the Big Three (CommChat, Editors' Guild, and ... well, erm... used to be ThiefGen, but the Thief 3 forum and the FM Discussion board are both serious contenders and at this point in time probably far more active than ThiefGen) and that it doesn't really make sense from a supply / demand point of view to further splinter GenGaming into PC and Console forums when there's really no reason console discussion can't take place in there.
So, yeah.
But it certainly does give food for thought.
(and we did make sure it was after midnight in Daveland... it would have been pretty damned obvious if we had done it April 1st in North America)
