I was messing around in T3Ed and made this :

I don't know if I'll use it. I think it might be a bit too "Disney" for Thief.
What do you all think?

That's pretty cool. It's funny how he still casts a regular human shadow though. :weird:

I think the normal shadow adds to the effect.

Thanks. I wanted him to cast the shadow, despite being invisible. I could make him shadowless and just have the armour casting shadows. I might try it and see how it looks

Now that's interesting! I wonder how you managed to make the body parts invisible. I wanted to do such thing on Garret mesh while doing the water stuff (changing the skin to invisible and locking first person mode), but using BF material didn't work.

I'm assuming this could be taken even further so only the weapons are visible, for variation on the theme?:)

Thanks. All you have to do is:
Properties-->Render-->Add Property-->Transparency-->Set the value to 1
I've tried setting the value inbetween that and 0 (visible) to see if it makes the AI semi-visible but it didn't work and sometimes crashed T3Ed.

Originally it was just the sword and the shadow but I wanted more to it so I added the shoulder guards, chestplate and helmet. I think there are some other helmets and perhaps more shoulder guards, but you could have only the sword if you wanted.
Thanks,
SS
p.s. I turned his shadow off and the armour stopped casting shadows aswell. The sword did not:erg:

I think it looks awesome as it is in the video. Especially with the silver-blue surroundings. Just imagine you put him in front of some stand so that the player thinks it was an armour on display.

I had gotten an image before (not necessarily for an FM) of three wraiths standing immobile all in the same spot, each having different parts of armour but appearing as a single full set of armour together, and when the player approaches, they come to life and separate.
Anyway, I like how these experiments seem simple yet have an immediate, effective, and fine result.

Obviously, the real useful purpose of this thing should be find again the potion of invisiblity.
I think it's better manage the invisiblity for out Garret. It was a thing that I would do from long time.
