i dont know my psu, its a standart 400watt one. I played assassins creed whole day, i did not have any probs
system specs
Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe (chipset nForce570SLI)
DualCore AMD Athlon 64 X2, 2200 MHZ (11x200) 4200+
Socket AM2
DDR2 DIMM
Ok you`ll need a 400W or greater PSU for your system:-
Old setup Under full load - X2 4200+ = 120w
Mobo+mem = 50w
HDD+CD+sound = 50w
X1650 = 75w
Total = 300W
New setup Under full load - X2 4200+ = 120w
Mobo+mem = 50w
HDD+CD+sound = 50w
HD3870 = 120w
Total being 345W
You were running your old PSU 3/4 of its max and as your Antec 400W was an old PSU, 320W would have been all it could manage.
You will
need get a more powerful PSU, and I recommend at least a 500W so your not maxing out the new PSU and you will then have room to upgrade the video card down the line - and no the 500W will not use more power than your old 400W, in fact it will use less power because it will be newer and more efficient.
Also so people should know that all PSU's reach max efficiency at 1/2 - 2/3 of full load. Also when a recommended PSU is quoted its an average figure because not ever pc has the same hardware inside.

Infact i need to take my own advice....
E8400 = 150W
GTX280 = 250W
HDD/s+CD = 90W
Mobo+mem+cards = 50w
my total = 540 and Im running a 600W psu, doh!.. now I need to sell my 600W OCZ gameXtreme....
