Thanks for the suggestion Matthew, guess there are some publisher issues, 1C/Cenega is (ir)responsible for FNV distribution in Central/Eastern Europe, I guess they fucked it up again...

Well, if you do want to follow that path just shoot me a PM.

I don't know where else to post this question, so rather than start a new thread here goes. When I reached Boulder City, I found Lieutenant Monroe had been killed by one of those giant orange-ish wasp-like thingies. I was impatient so I continued on with the game hoping it was just a temporary glitch, but every time I go back he's still dead. So now the main quest is left hanging since I obviously can't complete the next step.
Do I need to reload from a save just prior to making it to B.C., or am I going to have to restart the whole game? I wonder if I just took too long in reaching B.C. (I was trying to be stealthy and it took awhile to get there) or if this is a glitch/bug that's going to make me do a total reinstall.
Thanks.
P.S. Yeah, the game's starting to grow on me, though it's disturbingly reminiscent of a couple other blockbusters Bethesda has released in the past several years. But with a Western flavor.

You could always try using the console to resurrect him, perhaps? If you need a walk-through on how to do that I could try to puzzle it out.

Thanks Matthew. While I was ingame EvaUnit got hold of me (thru Steamchatthingy) & told me to do the same thing. It WORKED! Back in business. I'd forgotten all about Bethesda's allowing players to mess around with console commands; should've remembered, considering all the weeks/months I put into Morrowind & Oblivion.
Thanks again!

Aha, great minds think alike. Well, his great mind and my slightly-dented one. Glad it worked! :D

That quest isn't very necessary; you can just walk into New Vegas and be put back on the right track for the main quest.

Imo, there's no such thing as 'just walking' into Vegas. ;) But, being of the OCD camp, I really wanted to complete that part of the quest.

Do console players have access to the in-game console? If not, what do they do in situations like the one above where they have to "resurrect" a quest critical character?

They go fuck themselves.
