Thank you Csabo, i was already forced before releasing this mission to reduce the resolution textures to lower resolutions, the only textures that have 1024x1024 is the skyboxe in the second mission as well as the mountains textures. What program do you use to convert textures to DXT1 4 bpp?
I use Photoshop CC 2014 with (
https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop) nVidia's DDS plugin for converting and resizing images, since that this editor does better than other image editors. As I understand you have Photoshop as well, so install this free plugin and your Photoshop will be able to handle DDS textures. Now all you have to do open the texture image and Save as... DDS. The format will be on the list. A configuration panel appearing there where you can choose the appropriate format (DXT1 recommended). I advise to not convert original, tested transparent textures like PNG, TGA or even GIF to DDS because it requires additional work in editor, otherwise you'll have visualization issues in-game. Good luck :thumb:

Firemage i´m not even going to answer your questions to avoid further discussions, restaurant? you think i run a business here? I offer gifts for my friends ? Look to avoid discussion i ask you not play again my missions , if you don't like it then you´de better not return to avoid deceptions, and also i don't need your advises or the teenager squadrafol advice, because as authors both of you are not a reference to me, so don't come here hammer on me with your noise lift up to tell me how i should do my missions, its my personal projects i do it for free so i don't care about rules for making a mission. I don't bother you and you don't bother me and we maintain things calm here and between us.

Sorry everyone for my behavior's yesterday , but its been 2 years and some moths working on this mission , in the last half here i´ve been working like crazy for this mission, and then someone comes here takes my gift and throws it in my face with despise, i come here to offer these gifts as a Friend , i don't come here to sell products and be concerned how i should do things for clients.
So i will adopt a posture that many authors here have which is not to reply to negative and insulting comments. It's the best thing i do to avoid losing my head and do sad scenes, also prevent getting stressed, and maintain my credibility , yesterday for example because of what happened here i was only able to fall asleep at 3 am, i was hurt, angry and sad. I had to take a pill to sleep .
So for those who want to comment negative things go ahead, but i tell you right now it won't change me, i will still do things the way i want, and what i can recommend for those people is to avoid my missions to not be disappointed.
Thanks in advance

First off, you do not get to decide what anyone can call you. I will continue to call you whatever I want whenever I want. This is a part of reality that you're going to have to learn to deal with. That being said, the word "dude" in English is not derogatory. In fact, it means the same thing as "friend," and in general is positive. I see your English isn't very good, so I understand how you might be confused. I guess you could argue that it "lacks class," but coming from you right after you said PinkDot was a snob for not liking your mission is rather hilarious. FYI, I call all my friends "dude".
Second, why do you not want me to play your missions? Because I called you dude or because I didn't care much for this one? You go from thanking me in the credits to banning me? What?
Lastly, as long as you release your missions to the public, I will continue to download, play, critique, and maybe even enjoy them. Try and stop me.

Cardia, at some point you'll have to accept that when you release something to the public, what happens later is kind of beyond your control.
There will be people who'll post just to mock you, and to point all the flaws, but there will be people who'll genuinely try to help you. TTLG isn't YouTube. It's not full of haters, and from what I've seen, a lot of people here try to give you good advice. You didn't take that well, and, in a way, you just said that you refuse to take any criticism and advice. So, how you expect to grow and be a better mapper? And what's the point of releasing anything to the public? Even in this super-polite community, you didn't expect only to receive praise, did you? That would be quite childish, and it doesn't really help you develop your skills as a mapper. Sure, you need to learn to filter out peculiar personal preferences and nitpicking, as it's often irrelevant. Everything else is a great opportunity to grow as an author.
Btw. When you're releasing something for others to enjoy, you must remember that none of it exists in a vacuum. As of AD 2017, there have been many high-quality FM released. Some are better in terms of visuals, others have better story line or game play. The point is, your work will inevitably be compared to what others can make, especially that you're not a Dromed newbie. You have 20-something FMs under your belt, right? Although I must say, despite such experience, I often see you running around Editors' Guild, asking rather basic questions. Don't you think that says something about you as an author?
You'll do what you want with all this, but I think it would be much better, if you understood that most people here want to help you, so they can enjoy your next mission better. Not to bring you down with criticism.

Congrats Cardia! Awesome and unique :thumb:. I've never seen something like this before :). As you know there are some problems with the FPS. But you can fix that if you work with LOD's on objects. This would give about 10 FPS more in some areas. Again, fantastic work. Thank you for this!

Although I find the subject matter different than what I would be used to, I am having a pretty good time jumping the character here and there like a practitioner of 'Parkour' (a.k.a. free running).
I must either have a pretty good computer now, or my settings are just right.
I finished this new machine build a little over a year ago and it has not had too much of a problem running these set of missions. The only area I had a problem with was the beginning of mission 2 which was solved by saving and exiting and then loading again before leaving the first room.
I have always appreciated this author's stylized work and the use of famous paintings throughout most missions he has done.
The first mission felt like a town I used to live in about 30 years ago.
I do have to say I felt a little unsettled when I saw a version of the painting of 'The Crying Boy' and wondered if it might cause some problems later in the game. The story goes that the painting is cursed and causes fires. I believe that someone had a logical explanation to the problems surrounding it though.
I would like a little help in the second mission. I need to locate a crowbar for the boards in the factory area I jumped in from one of housing yards.
Good job Cardia, having fun with this one and I am impressed with the real feel and size of these missions. :D  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I need to locate a crowbar for the boards in the factory area I jumped in from one of housing yards. The only area I had a problem with when I beta tested the missions was at the start of Mission 2 (like yourself) - hence why Cardia gave separate downloads - but glad the Save, Quit, Load method allowed you to play the mission!
To break the
boards at the factory you need the
pickaxe - that can be found
on the lower terrace, by the wheelbarrow, at Building 19. To complete the quest at the factory you will also need the
crowbar - that can be found
in the basement at Building 13. :thumb:

I played this mission for about 20 minutes and tried to like it, because I enjoy unusual missions and always wanted to see a modern-day mission. But it's just not my type, and I have similar criticisms to other people:
- walking simulator with little to actually do; no AIs to avoid, just walk around
- doors that can be frobbed often look the same as doors that are just textures... which is very bad visual telegraphing, this is the one thing I hated the most
- the world generally feels a little empty and inconsistent, most buildings you can enter have one or two rooms that are accessible and not more, and many buildings aren't accessible at all; cutting the mission down to half the size but filling it with more content would've worked better in my opinion
The subject matter of the FM is strange to say the least, but I don't care much about story. It's the gameplay elements that I mentioned above which made me give up on it. That's just my opinion, and others before me have said the same, and I think offering this criticism and saying why we didn't enjoy the mission is completely respectful. We're not insulting you personally, Cardia. We're not even insulting your mission. We're just stating what we didn't enjoy about it.
That said, I do enjoy the modern world setting, and while the assets are extremely inconsistent I do like the overall look of it. I'd love the hell out of an FM like this that had a lightgem and enemy AIs you have to avoid. If the map were half the size and filled with more content, and you had to sneak past guards, I'd rate this mission very highly - which is the reason why some people here give criticisms: they like aspects of a mission and see potential in it, so they offer constructive criticism. Maybe the author will agree with them and fix the issues in the next FM. Maybe the author disagrees and says "nah, I did things X and Y on purpose", which is fine too.
There's no need to insult anyone. Constructive criticism is good, and an author shouldn't get angry over it, because it's not attacking the mission: it's just stating a personal opinion about certain gameplay elements.

I've had enough! Talk about the mission, ask questions about it and leave it at that! From this point on, any personal or insulting comments will be deleted and anyone who persists on posting them will have a vacation away from the forums. Is that clear?
