Hints for the combination puzzle:
Hint 1: Despite appearances it's still a numerical panel.
Hint 2: If there are so many buttons, how come the combination is so simple?
Outright solution: It's not a numerical panel, it's four numerical panels stacked vertically, with each row of blocks representing the numbers 1-4 (counting left-to-right). Starting from the top, push only one block in each row, as written down on the combination scroll found in the desk drawer.
On an unrelated note, I have found exactly 100 extra loot since my last post, but that required crate stacking. Not very fond of those.

IMO, there is too much loot too well hidden. I could understand that I missed 1.000 loot or less, but not 2.400, considering that I explored a lot.
Thankfully, the loot requirement on Expert is alright. It was a problem in Reverse Robbery - Directors Cut. Although, again, when the loot requirement is 4.500, and there is a 9.000 plus to be found in the mission? Seems like a LOOOT of secret stuff in there.

I have now found 6312 out of 9091 loot, or 69.4% of the amount.
I finished exploring Theobald's manor, but got only a smigedon more loot for my troubles. Bigger loot was found in plain sight in hard-to-reach places outside, like the one right at the starting location.
So far I've had to use crates twice to reach the loot - in both cases it was northwest-ish of the horsemen statue. For the first occasion I needed only two crates, but for the second I needed three. Fortunately Garva's warehouse has plenty of crates.
I completed the second bonus objective, but for some reason I get the feeling there's more to this that I've missed.

There is never a requirement to use crate stacking. There will always be some other way. Possibly ropes.

A new RippedPhreak mission is an instant download for me.
I'm happy to see that the crashing issue has been resolved before I found this FM.
Will play this weekend (I don't have time during weekdays :( ) and I will provide feedback.
Thanks for your work RippedPhreak ;)

I decided to test this out, returning to the scene of the crate...and you're right, I stand corrected. I found that I could mantle-parkour my way to both places... except I'd already tried that exact path, numerous times, and was always blocked by a strategically placed statue... until now.
I then found another way to the garden via rope arrow, but that gave me 'Ruins of Originia'-vibes with the most badly placed rope in FM-history.

Unkillable Cat. The solution to the panel was that easy? I was looking at the shapes that were incomplete because there were 3 whose shape would imply 1,2, and 3 based on how many tiny clover shaped thingies were present. But there was not a 4.

I've completed all the base objectives on Hard, but I don't want to leave!
How do I find the bonus objectives?
There are still three things puzzling me, which might be related:
* a chest in the alley outside of Garva's warehouse I can't unlock
* I can't find a safe at the apothecary (I got the key from the panel in the tower library), might be going blind
* the golden hammer at the cathedral I found buttons in the basement storage but couldn't get one to select so I had to crate stack into the tower
I'm currently at 5772g; I didn't track all of it, but here are some tricky places I found in North Thrax:
a keeper medallion and gas arrow above the City Watch
a candlestick in a window over the arch on Hardcobble Way
golden dice on a balcony at the end of Yarpick Lane
bag of spice on a tall bookshelf in Bafford's
masks on a balcony just north of Bafford's building
a small statue on the lower shelf of a table on an apartment balcony over the river
at least two small statues in Theobald's manor quite well hidden
a ring in the balcony in the northwest corner of the map
I almost missed a few rooms in Theobald's Manor somehow, the doors blended into the wood paneling of the walls and I walked right past.
