Thanks for an excellent mission.
I'm only part way through as I downloaded the full blown (movies and all) version from thiefguild and as a few others have said, the mission was crashing as soon as the start game button was clicked.
The new (no movie) download worked fine, though. I'm using AngelLoader and although I uninstalled Dark Loader a long time ago, I still get a warning on AngelLoader saying "AngelLoader has detected that this game has an FM installed with Dark Loader". This happens with every mission that I run through AngelLoader and I was wondering if the other people having problems had some remnant of Dark Loader in the background affecting things?
Also, would it be worth adding a comment on thiefguild regarding the alternative download? I found this thread through Google otherwise I'd still be scratching my head as to what was going on.
As mentioned above, I'm playing it late but hey, it's Christmas every day in my house!

About the letter delivery: The destination mailbox is in the house where, among other residents, dead Tiny Tim (the fruitcake victim) can be found. Once you have the appropriate letter, one of the mailboxes in the entry hall of the house should become "frobbable" (it should light up if you get close enough).
The letter that should be delivered is, as far as I remember, addressed to one of the people living in that building. You might identify the right letter by checking it for the recipient.
One of the four good deeds, AFAIK, is to bring a drunk and passed out man into his bed. You find the drunk in the main room of the inn where the mission started. Carry this guy upstairs and put him into the appropriate bed. I think you can just try to place him on any bed until some reaction on this becomes visible. There is a clue somewhere in the inn telling you where this guy's room is, but I don't remember where it is exactly. Most likely it is a readable of some sort.

We're very happy that you're enjoying the mission. Also glad that the no movies version worked for you, and I've contacted Marzec about a link on Thief Guild. Thanks for the suggestion and enjoy the rest of the mission!

thx to all ,who gave me some hints, especially to baeuchlein.
i found all 4 secrets, all fruitcakes. the only downer is, i'm missing 300 of loot.
is there a possibility to enter the bakery ,the butcher shop or the clockshop?
many thx to the both authors for this outstanding mission.
are there any other missions of these authors?

I had no issues, ultimately found all secrets and visited the garden (and am still somehow missing more than a thousand loot!). As usual my only sticking point was gamma being low enough that I missed a certain soggy switch.
What an incredible FM! The layered references, the easter eggs, the tearjerking good deeds, the dense,
dense map design, all working without a hitch. I wound up experiencing a one-two-three punch of finding the locket, seeing all the familiar faces at the inn, and discovering Garrett's final reward. I'm not crying, you're crying!
I'm sorry I missed your post originally, but we're very happy that you enjoyed the mission. We added some light to that soggy switch and it will included in the update. Your last comment had me laughing, glad you had a good time!

Finished - only short of 272 loot and had to look on here regarding just one of the secrets as I didn't pick up any relevant clues.
I really enjoyed it and, as others have said, will be revisiting it in the future.
Well done and thank you PukeyBrunster and Tannar.
