Such a fun and cheery Christmas mission! Thank you so very much for creating it! It is very enjoyable! Definitely one I'll replay each holiday season. Happy holidays, Merry Christmas and a Taffin' New Year to all!:thumb:

Thanks for an excellent mission.
I'm only part way through as I downloaded the full blown (movies and all) version from thiefguild and as a few others have said, the mission was crashing as soon as the start game button was clicked.
The new (no movie) download worked fine, though...
Also, would it be worth adding a comment on thiefguild regarding the alternative download? I found this thread through Google otherwise I'd still be scratching my head as to what was going on.
As mentioned above, I'm playing it late but hey, it's Christmas every day in my house!
We're very happy that you're enjoying the mission. Also glad that the no movies version worked for you, and I've contacted Marzec about a link on Thief Guild. Thanks for the suggestion and enjoy the rest of the mission!

I had no issues, ultimately found all secrets and visited the garden (and am still somehow missing more than a thousand loot!). As usual my only sticking point was gamma being low enough that I missed a certain soggy switch.
What an incredible FM! The layered references, the easter eggs, the tearjerking good deeds, the dense,
dense map design, all working without a hitch. I wound up experiencing a one-two-three punch of finding the locket, seeing all the familiar faces at the inn, and discovering Garrett's final reward. I'm not crying, you're crying!
I'm sorry I missed your post originally, but we're very happy that you enjoyed the mission. We added some light to that soggy switch and it will included in the update. Your last comment had me laughing, glad you had a good time!

Finished - only short of 272 loot and had to look on here regarding just one of the secrets as I didn't pick up any relevant clues.
I really enjoyed it and, as others have said, will be revisiting it in the future.
Well done and thank you PukeyBrunster and Tannar.

Happy New Year, and really glad you enjoyed it! Also, in case you do want to track down all of the loot, we have linked a lootlist on our first post now.

Because I was busy with other things over the holidays, I only got around to playing today.
This ecstasy! I am completely blown away.
You fairy tale masters :thumb: .
What a brilliant idea: the master thief steals to make other people, who have Christmas wishes, happy.
When I last threw Liesl over my shoulder, oh sorry, gently laid her over my shoulder ;) to give the lonely woman in her abandoned house a heartwarming surprise (she didn't even notice and continued sleeping) - I almost cried.
Not only did you masters produce exactly that Christmas spirit of forgiveness, hope and good wishes that we live within us, you underlined it musically - with a new song at every bend in the road, and you not only let a narrator speak, but even let him rhyme - like a singer sings his songs (how delightful to see the same layout here as in an old English feature film). It's lovely that these rhymes always seem like the end of a chapter and make you look forward to completing the next task. Everything is child-friendly and yet gripping for us adults who have been playing this game since 1998. I haven't had such a movingly beautiful gift for a long time. :D
So thank you for listening to many singing groups (in church it sounded best when "Silent Night" was sung alternately in German and English).
Thank you for the funny children who are constantly running over the bridge and laughing.
Thank you for a magnificent Christmas tree that undergoes a wonderful transformation when the star has to be found.
Thank you so much for the many hints and quotes from Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", who doesn't love Tiny Tim?
Thank you for the tip to quickly clean the dirty toilet with 3 water arrows :D . Thank you for a fabulous end to the game - with a flourishing inn in which, while all the tasks were being completed, magnificent food was suddenly being prepared on all the tables (kudos to the cook and her poor children, whose three out of four wishes I was able to grant). So magnificent that the guards, pirates and other villains are no longer interested in Garrett and would rather eat, drink and celebrate. The ghosts have also come together and are chatting about the past 1800 years of their ethereal "life".
And finally: thank you for respectfully maintaining our Christmas traditions. Here in Germany in particular, we are experiencing shocking attacks on our Christmas markets in some places today.
So thank you for comfort and strength! All the best for you and your families:thumb:.
