How do you use them now?

Simply drop a a stone where you want to go/return.
Then you can "use" the other stone in your inventory and you teleport back to the first stone.
Very usefull to getting through small gaps and holes, also usefull for getting back from a normally one-way-trip.

Lordhern was referring to Keeper Runestones which are a different thing. If you have the green, purple and yellow Powerstones, then they can be used to activate a portal to take you "to where you most want to go" which will be Garrett's home in this case.
If you missed some readables: The Mages recently dug up a chamber with a Precursor Portal below their fortress, and the Powerstones can be used to activate it.

Thanks, I was confusing the two stones and I did read that readable but forgot about it. I also completely forgot to go back to that area.
I found the Rune stones finally as well.

I still can't find the water elemental. I've been through every inch of the pond with the waterfall and can't locate it. That's where I assumed it would be based on some of the responses in the thread.

Also you don't need the water talisman to finish the mission, it's just a neat toy to put out torches or blast enemies or whatever. It can sometimes break vases which can cost you loot so be careful.

Found it. I was at the wrong one. :laff:
