I made sites like that, so I won't mock.
Instead I will point out how pointless it is to link to 3DGamers for the shkpatch. Even if people don't want to use Kolya's tool (fnarr fnarr), it just redirects to failplanet home.

Don't worry. To be honest, as long as you keep the background simple. The text readable and the links identifiable then it won't get this treatment. Oh yeah and some actual content would help :laff:
Of course, if you want to PM some of us for a quick preview and some CONSRUCTIVE critisism, then feel free.

RocketMan as long as it is legible and has not got a poor appearance then I'm sure it'll be fine. You could add that GIF that Kyumaru added. :)

Dudes, what's with all the criticism!? It's not supposed to be a flashy website, just a basic SS/2 links page. Obviously I can do BETTER than that, I am a web designer after all! :) I thought the backgorund would be appropriate, like the SS2 menu page - only not animated. As for the QuickTime object, I'm using a free version of Cool Page for the site and it insists on putting a .wav file in there so when you hover the mouse cursor over the Cool Page ad button, it plays it. I have made the ad button invisible and .wav file silent... as a sort of 'hack'. I've tried to buy the full version so I can remove them properly, but the company that makes CP seems to be a bit, um, offline. I've tried to get the full version via torrent, but I can only get my hands on an older version - which isn't as good.
If someone knows how I can get the latest full version, then please tell me!
Cut me some slack guys, I don't even like SS2 that much. I just had loads of links for it, so I thought I'd bung a page together. I've built all my other websites with Cool Page, and never had this level of criticism for all of them put together! I came here in good will, and all I get is this disrespect. Why did I bother!?!?!?!?

Dude...if you're a web designer, then you should already know that you made a lot of grievous errors on that site.
Also, instead of using some third-party program, just use Notepad and code the thing yourself. Since nothing elaborate is necessary, there's really no reason to not do so.
