:laff:
Great idea, Bjossi. But everytime I propose it to WinXP I get a "fatal exception error"-message... :erm: ;)
Bjossi on 6/10/2006 at 15:04
Well, I guess WinXP is just modest. :cheeky:

Thank you
*blush*Of course I'm gonna be 'Mother' of the voice-actors again for Christine's next mission(s  ;) ). I can't help myself... I just like playing around with sounds and voices... :cheeky:
(But Christine, no character with so much text for me again, please. My tongue hasn't healed up yet since 'UNN Nightwalker'! :cheeky: )
Aww c'mon now Dinky, you did great on the last run. What mic/recording setup did you have? I ask since it had a very 'clean' feel to it like you had a room you could go into and record without having to worry bout background noise.
I swear, bloody dogs would wait till I hit the record button to start yapping....

It is possible to remove background noise digitally, maybe that's what she did.
Or she was simply in a dead quiet room. :)

No, I have no special equipment. I use a Shure microphone with a standard popkiller. That's all! No special equipment, no special recording-room. I just live in a pretty quiet area and have fairly good noise protection windows. :cheeky:

Shure you do.
Sorry, couldn't resist. ;)

Well, to record a good voice-log, you shouldn't need anything more than a decent mike and a quiet room. ;)
And by decent mike, I mean one that can record your voice without it sounding like it is played with 16 kbps bitrate instead of a minimum of 128 to sound good.

That, and a calm and steady voice. And dont do a silly foreign accent, my brother did and I didnt bother sending the voice files to Dinky.:eww:
If I wasnt so used to speaking so fast, I myself might actually sound half decent :p But hey, voice acting is all about having a bit of fun and thinking about how awful you sound when you record your own voice.

My English accent is pretty good, much much better than the fellow Icelanders I know. :sly:
But I'm not even going to try British. :eww::p
