I,ve been through all 5 levels, plus command and Bridge levels.
Can some one tell me where the Message Log is that will tell me the code to open the doors in the Shuttle Bays. Not the armoury everyone has been talking about. But the initial shuttle door. After you,ve cleaned outthe Escape Pod bays and killed all the eggs.

it should be down where the eggs were...just check the dead crew down there anyway but it should be in there
I've completed it now...the end was slightly dissapointing, I just didnt feel any pressure on me (guess I should not use the rifle then), but still a very good mission to do, and a good balance in spawn rates. :cheeky:

That's where I've been! I think I am missing the engine core control access.
A clue please.:)

I have played SS2 through several times and love it. So I installed Ponterbee and have been totally amazed by the detail and aesthetics of this new station. The extra models, new monsters etc make this as good as an SS3. Congratulations to Christine and all of the team who have developed this!
But some confessions - I play at EASY level now (I used to play SS2 at HARD) as a concession to age and a busy life, and for me that makes the whole trip enjoyable rather than terrifying!
One problem - I completed all levels up to
the shuttle to the colony
, but at the point of changing levels, the new level fails to load. This happened occasionally with early levels as well, but I was able to successfully change levels by running on a different computer! That is, I would take the save game, install it on another computer, try again, and it would work. This time it won't.
My setup? Windows XP Prof, Shock2 modified with LG patch and MT patch, "Safe_texture_manager" included in cfg files. SS2 runs fine, so its something to do with loading the next level.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges and gameplay so far, and am amazed by the beautiful work that has been done here to make this mod.

I've combed every deck again and cannot find the engine core control access card which I presume I need to use the core control codes. Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
maxdmg on 20/10/2005 at 09:06
Requirements for the core : A battery, 3 access codes.
If you have all the codes you will notice that they each correspond to a different acess point, enter them and press the switch next to them,(before doing this i went to the central core room and pressed the switch there but also did so afterwards so dont know when i should of pressed it (notes will confirm if you have cut the power properly)
If a card is needed (in which case i've been very silly) then search all the cargo bays as I think it's there or on command.(i'll check later)

The_Dude: the engine core control access card is
In the crew quarters on the recreations deck - like Barker's log nearby says: he forgot it in his quarter ;)
RobD323 - I don't know, why this happens. Do you play in multiplayer?
RobD323 on 20/10/2005 at 22:15
No, I don't play in multiplayer. My guesses:
1) Its a problem with SS2 - (changing levels in SS2 in XP is a problem mentioned in some of the threads here).
2) Maybe there's a cutscene here which is supposed to show but isn't, so is creating an error.
From other people's comments, I gather its NOT a problem to anyone else, so there's nothing wrong with the Ponterbee FM.
Anyway, I enjoyed all of the levels up to the Shuttle! Thanks Christine,
RobD323.

Oh OK I was missing the crew quarters access card on the recreation deck. So I've reached the shuttle area but have no code to the shuttle? Is it on the engineering level?
