New Sound Card. - TTLG Forums

Hello.

I would like to buy a new computer, but it is very important for me that it was fully compatible for Windows 7 (32bit / 64bit).

Could you help me to choose a sound card.

On old computer I use Creative SB X-Fi Elite Pro PCI and it works perfectly.

It is necessary to keep EAX support in old games like Thief 3 and others.

There is only one sound card from Creative in store - Sound Blaster Z.

On the TTLG forum i saw a topics about sound cards, but it has been dated 2014.

Video Adapter - MSI GeForce GTX 650 Ti Power Edition OC (From old Computer)

Power Supply - Corsair RM850X CP-9020093-EU

The Sound Blaster Z should be compatible with Thief 3 and other EAX games using software emulation though either ALchemy, OpenAL or HostAL - see (http://forums.creative.com/showthread.php?t=706826) this thread for example.
