I added a new Scripting Intro page and an overview of Script conditions and actions to the Wiki, which you can find linked here: [wiki]ScriptingReference[/wiki]
I've already spent much too long on this today so I'll continue work on it tomorrow. I was planning on doing a page on global variables and their uses and maybe one on links. Let me know if you would like elaboration on any points or have any requests for additional scripting-related subjects to be covered. Also feel free to edit them if you want to add new content (it could probably use more links to/from other pages) or fix my formatting ;)

Krypt,
Let me be the first to send a big "thank you" your way! I'm sure I'm not alone in greatly appreciating all you've given to the T3 editing community.

Thanks, Krypt  & BTW he should get credit for the hand drawn map design too ;)

That's awesome. Thanks Krypt!
(On a mostly unrelated note, those who don't watch the wiki's RecentChanges page may not have seen the slight change I made to the single folder install batch scripts. If you're using a single folder install and you're sick of the command prompt window sitting around while T3Ed/Thief3 is open, check it out. My changes make it close down almost immediately.)

Well I've got an entry up there already on basic purposes of scripting, the differences between a "when" and a "query if" condition, etc. Feel free to take chunks of it if you want.

Really? I looked through the Wiki to see if there were any previous entries on scripting to make sure I didn't redo something that was already there and all I found were the lists of conditions/actions. Sorry for stepping on your toes if you already had a Wiki entry on the same subject  Give me a link and maybe we can combine them or at least crosslink or something.

You've done a good job there Krypt - very good writing and layout. I encourage everyone to follow your example here. Just remember to put categories at the bottom of pages as it helps with organisation :)
Ah yes, there are a few scripting related pages - I don't think it matters if there's a bit of duplication, but it makes sense to try and combine all the lists of actions at some point.

Thank you, this is exactly what I need.

Thanks so much Krypt! :) This is truly appreciated. We should try to get hold of Null[Jordan] and see if he would have some time to write a few detailed level building tutorials. Especially if he knows of ways to avoid including a lot of superfluous content in FM's. I'm hoping we can get around this with the version of the editor I'm building to go with an automated installer.

No worries! You've got way more experience at it than me, especially judging by how many times I've posted on the newbie thread :D
