Thanks for replying yes perhaps I should wait for the European patch if only to see whether it actually states on the site that it is to be used for the UK version of the game.
I did read the list of countries but not having a definitive answer I thought I'd better ask anyway. :erg:
Thanks again for your help. :D

As you can see, on the official website it says this patch is for North American, Australian and European Collector's Edition versions of Morrowind only. You could give it a go I suppose but personally I'm going to wait.
I have the European version (not the collectors one) and I have the patch installed and so far it works fine (except the inv. weight bug).
I am really getting pissed of that I am STILL left in the cold with patches just because I got a native version. Mind you, not a GERMAN version, but an ENGLISH version with German package/manual.
That just proves it again and again that you should always buy the oiginal, not the stuff they package here - when it comes to patches you usually have to wait out.

I went with the US patch last time round cos the UK patch made it crash in full screen mode.
I think I'll go with the US patch again this time round too.
Why ?
Before any patches I right clicked on my morrowind.exe file, selected properties and language -> English(US).
So looks to me like the UK version is actually a US version. Who can say for sure cos Bethesda sure aint.

Why the hell doesn't Bethesda just state which patch the UK version needs i mean didn't the last European patch state the European countries it was designed for?
FFS another example of people living in the UK getting screwed.

Just checking that I actually did install the patch correctly. I dl'ed the patch. To a folder (silly me) then moved the patch to the desktop. When I double-click the patch, nothing happens. This is normal? And the patch is installed correctly? Just installed the PC game tonight (have been playing the xbox version) and just after I created my new fem char, the game crashed. So I immediately went for the patch.
To tag onto these questions...is this the same process for the plug-ins? Do they automatically (if that's what the patch did) install themselves or is there a process for them?
Thanks for all the help you can provide to a comp dummy.

Does anyone know if theres a no-CD crack made for the European version?
I do have the original retail version of the game, I just want the performance boost. It'd be nice if I could get it to run faster than 10 FPS (my computer sucks).
Thanks in advance!

*GROWL* I've installed this patch yesterday (european version) and now MW won't start anymore!! Get the screens with misc NPC's from the game with the message "loading morrowind.csm" (or sumthing) and after that "initializing data" and when that progress-bar is full it crashes and goes back to Windowz ...
Any help, suggestions, tips?!?!?! Haven't been able to play for 12 hrs now ... starting to shake all over ;)

If you have plugins loaded, do the following:
- Open the editor
- Load the Morrowind main file and one of the plugins.
- Set the plugin as the active file
- Once it has loaded, click File->Save
Reapeat for each plugin individually.
