This is WAY beyond me, but would it be possible to make a .gam creator? Like simply a list of ALL .gam modifications with a little checkbox next to it. Check the box and the code for that modification is set to be added to the .gam.
Then when you have everything you want selected you hit "create .gam" and you have your own fully customized modification file.
I know it can;t possibly be as simple as I think it is, but I wanted to toss out the idea.

An external .gam editor (that doesn't require shocked) would be awesome. In the meantime, why not use Zombe's Mod Manager... I think it even checks for conflicts. Anyone can confirm this?

Yes, it does. But that won't help when you have several mods with gam files.
NamelessVoice mentioned a gamesys tool by Telliamed that's allegedly capable of compiling a new gamesys of two originals but is very slow.
I think that was objtree, which (

Well, wouldn't you know... it reads the gamesys files. Just gotta get some struct info for SS2 now.

That's as far as I got too. Any idea how to create the structinfo.xml? Maybe from shocked?

You can get that struct info for System Shock 2 from Telliamed's DarkLib project.

Thanks, you are right - I got them here: (

Nice tools. Maybe I'll add some stuff to this mod and mix it with Straylight's shock2.gam

Does this mean it can merge the attributes of 2 game sys's into one?
Does this mean it can combine the features of 2 different mods?
Kolya on 11/10/2006 at 12:07
Uh...presumably...if it works...I dunno. :erm:
blaydes99 on 11/10/2006 at 15:24
I am planning to simply merge two gamesys files by adding/changing Straylight's .gam with what I changed in mine. If there's an easier way, I'd love to hear it.
So guys, any feedback on the mod (does anyone like/not like the grenade launcher or fusion cannon ejecting shells?)...?
