Very few people have ever successfully pulled off a mobo swap without reinstalling or repairing the OS, and uninstalling/reinstalling drivers.
The reason for this is every OS installs certain files, including kernel files, based on the hardware it finds. It also configures things a certain way based on the found hardware and bios settings.
Those of you who have successfully pulled it off, with a little research, would probably find that your new hardware is close enough to your old hardware as to be supported by the existing installed files/configs.
I've been working with computers for 26 years and I've yet to see anyone pull it off.

This is why I always recommend a clean install, windows isnt the most stable OS and its dosent need much prodding etc.

XP Pro is very stable if you know what you are doing. Most people simply don't know how to bend XP to their will.
