I am shopping for a new laptop and I am not sure what to get.
Needs:
Must be able to play T2 and use Dromed
Will run MS Office 2007 Pro
Will run Adobe CS2 creative suite (Photoshop & Indesign)
Must have decent battery life
Between 15 and 17 inch monitor
WiFi capable (probably comes on all new laptops anyway)
Don't care what operating system it has as long as it plays T2
I don't care about anything else that is not listed above, and I need the cheapest laptop I can get away with.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

The main think you need to be looking for is a laptop with as semi descent gfx card onboard. For example my Dell XpsM1330has a nVidia 8600M which will quite happily run thief at the native res of the screen (1280*800).
As you require a bigger screen I can suggest the Dell Studio 15 for £569 - (
http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/minicat/services_N0053503?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs) link as it comes with a Radeon 4570, which not only lets you play some of the latest games but you get FOG in T2...!!!

Thanks, that one looks pretty good. Of course the U.S. price is a little different, especially after I added a few extras. My current Dell is just about out of hard drive space at 32 gigs, that and it keeps crashing.

Do you need a new laptop, or more space and less crashing?

More space and less crashing.

Ok, for a start we can upgrade parts(mem/hdd/cpu) of that laptop to get more speed out of it... can you give me the service tag so i can get the exact specs and then I can tell you what options we have.

Where is the service tag?
Also I already had the memory maxed out. The hard drive is next, but it is the old IDE type and options are limited.
