Nobody knows. That's what makes TTLG so special. 10 posts and still no clue about what OP wanted to say.

Here's my take, just trying to make it clearer. LMK if wrong. Added notes when unclear.

I'm working on a mod for SS2. I've changed the hacking system and added the opportunity to block doors (the door stops in a certain position and can't be pushed). It's useful when you are chased by the rumbler or when you are in the long corridor and the open door can help you to kill the monster from a distance.
Could you test it? May be you could give some advice on a simpler way to implement this?
1. To hack the keypad you'll need to apply the Handheld PC to it
<--- handheld PC?2. You are given out variations of code. You have to pay nanites for every attempt. So you must try to do it in as few attempts as you can.
3. You have to use the toolbox at the keypad to block the door. So you'll get the access to the controlling card.
<--- that one I don't get4. The game could crash at any time because of these actions
<--- ie the mod is unstableI have a couple of question to you:
1. What can be done to have nanites be paid for each attempt?
<--- weird question because that's something that exists already...2. What can be done that the cost of hack and the quantity of the code's variants are dependent on your hacking skills?

I see this as a on going theme. No different than what mr lemony fresh or Garras tried in past posts.
Just have to see which way minister goes in regards to the feedback he receives.

Thanks for the insight raph. I'm going to try a few more "translations":

I’m working on a mod for SS2. I’ve changed the hacking system and added the ability to block doors (the door stops in a semi-open position and can’t be opened). <--by just AI or the player too? This could break the game.
It’s useful when you are being chased by a rumbler or when you are in a long corridor and the semi-open door could help you to kill the monster through the opening.
Could you test it and give some advice on a simpler way to implement the following process:
1. To hack the keypad you’ll need to apply the Handheld PC to it<--- custom object?
2. You are then shown a list of various codes. Select a code to attempt the hack, paying nanites for every attempt.
3. You have to then use the toolbox (a second object?) at the keypad to block the door. You will then get access to the controlling card. <--- Does this let you re-open the door later?
4. The game could crash at any time because of these actions <--- ie the mod is unstable
I have a couple of questions:
1. What can be done to deduct nanites for each attempt?<--- weird question because that's something that exists already...
2. How can the cost of hack and the quantity of the code’s variants be dependent on the player's HACK skill?
So, as a monster is running after you, you have to stop, hack the door, then use a second device to finalize? Or would this only be useful to block doors before you encounter a monster, thereby trapping you on one side or the other? Unless of course, the blocked door only opens for you (although this might pile up hoards of monsters on the other side - wouldn't that be a nice surprise when you open your cleverly blocked door?)
Mod seems broken in just about every aspect to me. Anybody see how this could be useful?

A much more elegant implementation of the same idea would be if frobbing the keypad or card reader of already-opened doors would toggle their locked state.

when referring to the handheld pc, I figure he meant the game pig.
It could be an interesting twist to use a modified game pig to hack objects, but I doubt it would be possible without major changes to the game.
This makes the comment about the game crashing more understandable. While using a modified game pig to hack a door, the console may crash.
Just a guess on my part...
