Sorry I neglected to post more information on my computer. My budget would have to be capped off at 75 quid. Also a further question. I have four ram slots, dual channel. Its okay to have two different matching pairs right?
Your system is just about fast enough to use the 8800GT I recommended and the link I gave you is for a XFX 8800GT AlphaDog(Factory overclocked) for £70 so you can go down the pub with the £5 left over :cheeky:
With regards the memory, if your considering running 2 pairs(eg. 1Gb x2 + 1Gb x2), you can run unmatched pairs(but thats a big NO-NO), its best if all 4 sticks are the same - as you can buy 4GB (2GBx2) of DDR800 for around £35 you have no excuse.

I am in the process of building a PC
Gigabyte GA-EP43-UD3L Barebone Kit,
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700,
4GB DDR2-800 Kingston,
750GB Sata2,
DVDRW,
ATX Mid-Tower Case
700 Watt PSU
Cpu Heatsink & Fan
Which is best, a Single, more higher end card,
Ok dont bother with that setup - waste of time. The motherboard is a low end component, the CPU is old and only 25% games will use a quad core, the hard-drive is noisy and not fast enough, the PSU is ok but you could do better.
The best CPU cooler I know of (as Im using one) is the
Xigmatech S-1283. The best single GPU gfx card is the nVidia GTX285, but for $70-100 less you can buy the ATi HD4890 which is almost as fast.
With regard to your Pc build I did a recent build spec for Bretheren(southquarter) and here is a Wish list link I have setup on NewEgg.
(
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=9559425)
Just change the video card etc.

The biggest problem Macha is going to run into is his power supply. I highly doubt it has the 6pin PCI-E connector the card requires (in fact, I would almost guarantee it doesn't have that connector). The 4670 doesn't require an additional power connector.
As for the 9600GT being a rebranded 8600GT, you are close, but incorrect. The 9500GT is the rebranded 8600GT, while the 9600GT is a modified (mildly crippled and overclocked) 8800GS core. The 8600GT did not require an additional power connecter while the 9600GT does (which is why I didn't recommend it originally).

I did also mention it was a speed bumped, anyway.. if macha is stuck with getting the HD4670 then I suggest (
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?nov-4670) this one @£57 as it has a far better cooler on it.
Macha, what's the service tag(its a white sticker on the back) of that Dell so we can see what PSU it has...
