What's the difference?
I don't even know why they release the specs anymore, at least the minimum ones. They could just write "console port, DUH".

*sighs*
This means I really have to go out & get a new PC. Which means that I'll be trying to justify spending waaayyy more $ than I should because my next PC is going to have to meet the minimum specs of the games being released over the next few years.
I am now officially depressed.
:(

The games released over the next few years will still be 360/PS3 games. You know, made to run on the five year old hardware?

If you actually took the time to read any of the articles about the game, you'd know that it is NOT A CONSOLE PORT. The PC version has been given care as to be more like, well, a pc game. Imagine that!
(e.g. Directx11 support, controls tailored to mouse and keyboard, and whatever)

Hahaha oh wow.

Simultaneously does not necessarily = "console port"

That's exactly what it equals. When you're making a car that runs both on and off-road, it will never be a sports car.
sNeaksieGarrett on 10/5/2011 at 15:20
Did you consider that Deus ex PC is a sports car and the console versions are not?
The PC version is being developed (or co-developed?) by Nixxes, so it is going to be different than the console versions.
Are you too blinded by the past that you can't see that it might actually not be what you think? I might be wrong, but so might you.

Custom controls and updated renderer do not mean the codebase is different. Actually, there's no way in hell this is the case.
The DX11 renderer was probably not even written by Nixxes but by Crystal Dynamics.
