Question: What makes this game a Thief game?
Stephane: First of all, it's a 1st person game.
:joke:
Well, he's not wrong there. For me, at least, first person perspective is one of the defining elements of Thief. Anything else I'd consider a spin-off.
Far more worrying was his answer to the question about linearity -- "It's a story-driven game, so when you're in mission, we want to tell you a story. That said, at each kind of gameplay bubble, you are going to have to make choice, so you will have to be... alright, I have to go in this jewelry shop, for example, we are going to see in a few minutes. So there is multiple way to go in."

Game-solving vision!
This is the one thing that annoys the most. Am I not smart enough to solve your puzzles? Is there some design flaw that makes this necessary? Will there be an "auto-resolve" option next?

Do you mean the Focus? Can't you disable it if you like?

Problem kinda being that even if you disable and never use focus, the stupid new ability is inseparably linked to the lore of why his eye is that way. You can't unwrite this stuff

The "eye zoom" and the ability to use the scouting orb as a "remote eye" are linked to the lore too, yet I never used either of those abilities when I was playing.
