What about it?
Sluggs on 24/5/2004 at 17:51
(Sorry) The text disappears when clicked on, and the box shrinks. Plus it doesn't take me to the new page until about 3 tries. I am using Win 98 and i am using IE 5
Hey, this new site ain't so bad after all. I quite like it now! :o I still miss having the who's online part at the top though. :(
I was completely surprised about it at first. It wasn't expected. :wot: It was like finding a different place and not TTLG!
Is the PhotoAlbum still being worked on? It isn't working at the moment.

I wouldn't say "great" so much as I would say "all of the colours clash and make my eyes hurt, maybe we should get some new icons or something. Also, what the hell is this? :p I think it means that I'm pale, yet with a healthy pink hue, and that I might be choking on something plz help :("
Will definitely take some, err, a lot, of getting used to..
what's with the icky quoting system? is it a bug?

Avatars aren't so bad if you put strict physical/byte size limitations on them, and forbid animated avatars.
****** END TEMPLATE: bbcode_quote -->I agree with Zylonbane.
For the record, I agree with Zylonbane for the most part; 100x100px at 10-15kb is a limitation that I've seen work well on other fora. I'm afriad I don't see the point of banning animated avatars, though, as long as they conform to the size restrictions.
What is post is
actually about, though, is the ****** BEGIN TEMPLATE and suchlike that's splashed across each quote block; I'm fairly sure that it shouldn't be there.
This appears to be a compatibility issue, I'm using Opera-7.23-win2k at the moment, but it renders fine in firefox-0.8-linux.
[EDIT]
Or perhaps it worked in firefox because the bug was fixed by the time I reached that computer in the next room, since it's gone in Opera now too. Fast work, this.

I had temporarily enabled a debug command to put the names of the templates into HTML comments so I could find a particular section to alter.
Unfortunatley our censor grabbed part of the comment and broke it meaning it showed up in the posts rather than being hidden.
Whoops.
I'm unsure of what your problem may be sluggs, though I will keep looking.
The photo album is now working :)
The quote system will probably get a slight colour change, though I'm wary of making it purple.

I like it - I don't have to wear my glasses to read it!

The point is that it's harder to concentrate on reading (you know, the entire reason for a forum) when you've got something in your peripheral vision going blinky-blinky-blinky. This isn't just IMHO, it's a proven human factors issue.

I like the new look of the site! great job guys :thumb:
But what happened with the search possibility? I wanted to search for information about a fanmission, but where can I type to search for threads about it on the forums? Is it just me or is this no longer possible

Please read the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/announcement.php?f=70&announcementid=63) announcement pinned to the top of each and every forum.
It says that the search function has been temporarily disabled.
We had to delete the index that vBulletin uses to search the database in order to keep the downtime to an absolute minimum while we upgraded.
The search index will be rebuilt over the coming few days starting this evening.

Am I blind, or is there no "View all new posts" button? It was my favorite... :cheeky:
