I wouldn't say "great" so much as I would say "all of the colours clash and make my eyes hurt, maybe we should get some new icons or something. Also, what the hell is this? :p I think it means that I'm pale, yet with a healthy pink hue, and that I might be choking on something plz help :("
Will definitely take some, err, a lot, of getting used to..

The official stance at the moment is "Shut the fuck up and give us a chance"
;)
Icons and whatnot will be an ongoing thing for a day or two, I'd bet. We figured it was better to open functional forums and finish the painting while we run rather than stay shut for a day or two while the Eidos and Ion boards slowly fill up with WHERE IS TEH TTLG??? IT IS DOWN!?????
There is fixing afoot. Ne freakez pas.
Certainly please point out glaringly bad or wrong things so we can fix them fast... Icons and other graphical stuff is already underway, but anything else please tell.

I feel another "tampering with the original" thread coming on... ;)
Anyway...I dig it.
Nice job, guys. :thumb:

Great! but one new thing to get used to is the position of "Post Reply" is on the left instead of the right :)
Speed is awesome!

1. Excellent job, Dave, MsLedd, Saam, et al. Well done indeed.
2. I like some of the new subtle tweaks and added functionality. Even little things like "Close All Tags." Nice.
3. I'm dumb and can't find the Search button.
4. On the new User CP, I can't seem to make my buddy list load down the left side with little Online/Offline icons like in the last version. That was a really nice little reference... is that available in the new User CP, or is it just in that popup from Quick Links?
5. Shut up, Avalon.
{Edit} 6. On the Edit Options page, under Miscellaneous, it details 3 ways of posting: a simple text box, a "standard" box with drop-downs and buttons for fancifying, and the last is a WYSIWYG editor that will display your fancified post immediately after you type it, before posting. BUT, only the first two seem to be options. Is there a way of turning the 3rd one on? A WYSIWYG posting box would be a boon to those of us with a tendancy to screw up vB or HTML tags.

The old version looked a bit more compact (smaller font size?), and the old thread icons were a bit easier to distinguish... apart from that, I like it :)
On another note, I'm getting a rather... unaesthetic glitch in the reply window. Let me take a screenshot... (
http://www.mag-murphy.net/temp/glitch.png) there. The editing box fits itself in nicely once I drag the browser window up to a width of something like 1024 pixels, but below that, it looks like this. Maybe making the left-side padding of the bright blue part around the editing element less or narrowing the text field a bit would help with that...
[edit] Also, the CSS for the "Edit Post" page seems broken/unavailable. Serif fonts, top banner missing, almost no decorative boxes around elements, etc... [/edit]
Just my EUR0.02.

Sorry, I seem unable to find the TTLG phallus that the rest of the moderators have had surgically implanted into their oral orifices, but I did replace it with a lump of something that might be a sense of humour or probably a tumor.

Any chance of this changing? I've found it rather useful in other forums.

OMG! THE FISHER-PRICE FACTORY EXPLODED ALL OVER TTLG! PASTELS EVERYYYYYYWHERE!
Not a bad job at all, folks. Still needs a bit of tweaking here and there to get it as compact as it originally was, but it's pretty alright so far.
