With the release of Arx in some places and the impending release in others...
With the realisation that this forum is starting to contain mucho spoiler info...
Shadowcat, one of your lovable moderators, has proposed the opening of a new forum, this Arx Hints & Spoilers forum, to accompany the General Discussion one. This is a good plan.
:thumb:
What we need next are candidates for Moderator in such a forum. Shadowcat would prefer not to do it, as he isn't keen on running into spoiler info. Twisty has volunteered to occupy one of the two slots. So we're looking for someone to occupy the second slot.
Here's what the ideal candidate would be like: An enthusiastic and knowledgeable Arx player, a reasonably active contributor to TTLG's burgeoning Arx community, willing to be a moderator, and happy to moderate a spoiler-based forum. Previous moderator experience on a forum (any forum, not necessarily one of TTLG's) is handy, but in no way a prerequisite.
So, um, yeah.
I leave this thread here for nominations or volunteers.

This is how the proles are initiated into the lower echelons of the Party.

No, this is how we find good moderators. Don't be a jackass.

Hey Gingerbread Man! I would gladly volunteer for this position. Reading spoilers wouldn't bother me (probably help me out, but that's another story), and I seem to have instantly fallen in love with Arx. I think it would be an honor to serve such a distinguished forum as TTLG.
I went and got Arx from EB the day it came out here, and have instantly fallen in love. This is truly the first game since Thief that has had me thinking about what will happen next when I really should be focused on another task.
Spoilers won't bother me anymore as I have just completed Arx (although I still have much to explore). I'm at a point now where I can help other people overcome the problems they are facing in this game (and there are a few doozies in it) and continue on with this game of epic proportions. I know what it's like to be stuck at one part, and you just want somebody to give you that little nudge to move on.
As for previous forum experience, nothing the size of these forums. I ran some pretty low maintenence forums for an internet clan's website. Basically keeping the peace between the clan members and taking out unwanted enemy clan messages.
Thanks for your consideration,
B745

tentatively raises hand, then puts it back down again. Who'm I kidding, I'd suck as a moderator.

I'll do it :)
I can do enthusiastic, um, arx player I can't manage just yet, maybe tomorrow since I should be able to afford it then. Not a particularly active member of the arx community, willing to moderate even a spoiler based forum, no relevant experience.
so um, yeah, give the job to b745 :)

Thanks Caffeinatedzombeh!

Both positions have now been filled.
I would like to thank everyone who replied to GBMs request for a second moderator. B745 has taken on the responsibilty of moderating this forum as well and I look forward to working with him.
