The FM is fun so far; I like the fact that, this time, you start well-equipped while facing though monsters in the first level. It's a nice change from SS2 formula.
However, I'm having lot a trouble with that damn ladder jump in the construction yard. I've reached the upper ladder but I keep falling down and dying each time I try to grab the ledge.
EDIT: Okay, I did it, but that part was tedious...

Made it a bit into outside part 2.The levels are beautiful so far.Love the snow.
The snow beasts however are frustrating.For the first enemy you encounter they are way to powerful and fast.Need to take a break because they keep smashing me to bits and I am getting frustrated.:(

Gotta agree with Johnny and Butter here, you really made it a challenge to enter that base... :) (And I'm playing on Easy... :laff: )
That whole exterior reminds me of what D'Jure could have been if TSP had ever been released. Awesome job there. I managed to avoid several ice-beasts using the shadows but they're too few and far between for a real Garrett approach. The laser pistol is a godsend :thumb:
I just entered the base and fought all the bots and managed to get to the Cargo area. I saw a assassin droid. Then I died again.

Im loving it at the moment. Agree on the icebeasts - exploding in yer face is a bit harsh!

No. I found plenty of grenades but not the launcher... I thought I had looked everywhere hmmm guess I'll have to go back!
I laughed out loud at the "Christine burns in Hell" sign though :laff:

I'm in the colony now. Everything looks good so far, though I spotted a few "holes" in the cliffs where you can see the sky texture. The hologram room in the basement of the building right to the entrance of the colony could have used more details too.
I'm playing in impossible and the challenge is more than acceptable so far (save for that bloody ladder jump).
