I think I found an another issue: On the first start and when the FM archive folder is empty, an error message "division with zero" and "unexpected exception" appears, when I try to close the application.

I've started adding support for multiple archive folders, so it'll be necessary to wait before I sort out the above problem.

Actually you can already do that. Right click the fan mission name and left click edit fm details. The readme choice is at the top of the menu that appears. Choose the one you want. Hope this helps.

You bet I would try it...

You need to change the thread title. With a quick glance I thought I had the latest version.
Done, ffox. Thanks for pointing that out.

Just to clarify...this business of changing the type of NewDark T1/TG missions in the INI file before installing them applies only to the old DarkLoader, or is it needed in the NewDarkLoader too?
And...is it possible/recommended to use the old DarkLoader with NewDark anyway?

This is only needed with the old Darkloader. NewDarkLoader does not even care about whether a mission was made for Thief 1 or Thief 2. This, however, means that you have to separate T1/TG and T2 missions yourself. Place them in different FM folders. It could even be easier to separate T1/TG and T2 installations, using two copies of NewDarkLoader, one for each game.

Possible - yes. Recommended - no, definitely not.
Old DarkLoader does not only have the problem that it cannot identify T1/TG missions for NewDark anymore (it thinks these are T2 missions as well), but it may also create a mess if multi-language missions are used. And I know no reliable way to prevent the latter. Language support is definitely broken there, and I could not get language support to work anymore with NewDark v1.25 and 1.26.
Furthermore, I have seen DarkLoader failing to install some very large mission archives (e.g., a version of "T2X: Shadows of the Metal Age" with hi-res textures), and the player has to clean up everything afterwards.
NewDarkLoader is a good FM loader, especially if someone does not want to use FM-Selector. It is even compatible with FMSel when dealing with savegames. Old DarkLoader instead has its own way of storing savegames, and it's a bit of work if you try to convert savegames in between old DarkLoader and NewDarkLoader/FMSel.
NewDarkLoader is also still supported by its creator, while old DarkLoader is not likely to get any updates anymore.
Unless you have an old Thief version (before NewDark) and want to finish some old missions there, or have some specific problems making it impossible to use NewDarkLoader and FMSel, I definitely recommend using one of the newer FM loaders and placing DarkLoader in retirement.
