The research which requires the OG organ will work with drag and drop, but right clicking will bring up the research report. This should be true of most of the 'sequential' researching items.
The SecBotChip research was a bug (required itself to research). Fixed it now.
About boss 3: his shield will not recharge unless it is dropped completely (it's based on a psi reaver brain/ psi reaver setup), so you can drop them quite a lot before going toe-to-toe. Of course, he'll try using a couple of other psi powers once his shield is gone...

Oh. See, therein lies the problem: I never knew you could drag-and-drop chemicals to use them in research, I thought you had to right-click on them..... :erm:

Actually, I've never played multiplayer as my connection speeds and latency have historically been abysmal . From what I remember when I asked about it I don't think the other players see any psi effects when another player is using them- I remember someone saying that they got accidentally fried by local pyro because of this.

Once SHODAN comes out to play, HOW THE HELL DO YOU WIN? I can't find anything worthwhile to kill, can't figure out how to reinstate Xerxes (I've tried various things on his wall face panel things), but to no avail. If you're gonna try giving me hints, give me the COMPLETE answer as well in a spoiler box just incase. Thanks in advance.

The hints given /re what to do when
SHODAN appears
earlier in the thread helped me win. I found it's quite possible to win
without reinstating Xerxes
- just look around for the stuff Zygo mentioned (he's even quite specific in the post).

Well i completed it earlier today (barely), the poor agin computer that I was plaing it on was really struggling towards the end and made it very difficult to hit anything :( .
Now for the question thats on my mind is how do you complete it in one of the other 3 ways as mentioned earlier
I hacked the 3 terminals, the switch one's solution eludes me and the other 2 I don't even know-maybe the small machine by the side of shodan?
About the ways to win: Firstly (or lastly, haha), you always have to destroy the SHODAN head.
Helpful hints (do not need to do all of the following, obviously): (1) Hack the xerxes terminals, (2) Click on the blue pipes linking the Xerxes and shodan screens, if you have a high maintenance skill (if you have maintained a top tier weapon it will work. Despite the colours of the pipes - the yellow/green ones start illuminated, the blue ones dull, get it?- I'd be surprised if anyone worked this out independently), (3) click on the buttons, keeping a count on each until the appropriate light turns on. Once all five are done enter the code into the keypad, (4) Shoot or otherwise destroy all the junction boxes around the room.
Some of these will do things other than make shodan vulnerable, such as destroy her little talon droid friends

I don't think any of those objects exist in my game. Everything has worked fine up until this point, but I can't recall seeing any of that anywhere in the level. Bug?
I did notice that as I played, my hud icons started to get screwy. Most notably, things I picked up started having the lightning-bolt icon and a zero -- what would normally indicate that those were powered items, even though I knew they weren't (things like SecBot chips).
As for solutions: I've tried drag-and-dropping ICE-picks onto the Xerxes screens. I've tried frobbing them the usual way. I get nothing.

That happened to me, too, after reloading a saved game. I had no problems with the final battle, though.

hack the Xerxes screens, you hack the panels beside them (they look exactly like Shodan's shield computers from the final battle in SS2.

I don't see those ANYWHERE. What is supposed to happen before they show up? Or were they there initially?
