"I have never asked for this."
pretty sums up everything about this CGI trailer (had the same when I played DX:IW)
so we got the most uninteresting thing you can show about a game: a CGI trailer with a bad monologue and a bad subtitle. HUMAN (R)EVOLUTION (you see what we did here ?!, clever aint it). Let's hope they redeem themselves soon with something substantial like actual gameplay, story or proper, undoctored screenshots. After this and THI4F they sure have much ground to cover.

The Cyberpunk in DX:HR has been a ripoff mix of Oshii's GITS and Shirow's GITS from the start. I've never seen such blatant uninventiveness before.
That's not to say it's not going to work actually, those aesthetics are pretty good by themselves. The design lead is just a lazy bastard :]

the renaissance thing was also used in ErgoProxy (at least in some of the fashion), I don't care about borrowing, I can't see the heavy stealing they supposed to do, all I see is a totally failure of campaign on the marketing side with totally useless teasers that don't tease anything besides a bad script. A teaser should have been no floating text, no floating head just teases of GAMEPLAY or at least in-engine cutscenes if the actual gameplay sucks too much in the current state.

I don't think a gameplay trailer is on the horizon, but I do think it's high time we got some during gameplay screenshots. Come on Eidos, you have our attention, pull that skirt just a
little higher.

Also: PC (not GFWL), PS3, and Xbox 360 logos at the end of the trailer.
Anyone who thought this game
wouldn't be on consoles is in dire need of snorting some reality. But I don't recall there having been
a lot of "consolitits" poo-fests with relation to DX3 around here, I think we're good.

What is good is that it's PC, not GFWL, which might point to PC actually being the primary platform. If you ask me, GFWL pretty much means "cookie-cutter 360 port".

It's a decent trailer.
Not as good as Invisible War's intro though.

Could have done without the blade-pop at the end.

there won't be any GfWL because there is no multiplayer I think. the no-mp is confirmed so there would be no need for GfWL. they could use anything for achievements, maybe even steamworks.
another good article where they emphasize the multi-path multi-solution approach, so pacifist gameplay is possible:

The dream bits were cringe-inducingly awful.
Everything after that was... tolerable.
