I have an Nvidia 6800 GT and recently installed the newest driver, and now DX won't let me select a resolution higher than 800x600 (although my moniter supports 1280x1024). I can set it to the resolution 1024x 786 in the ini's and it will display (but any higher will revert to 640x460), however it will not say that it is displaying the resolution under the display menu. Does anyone know why this happened? It also reverts to a 16bit color display when I start it up. :/

what renderer are you using?

OpenGL. The problem still persists with the newest Nvidia drivers.

Try downloading the latest version of "OpenGlDrv.dll". I believe there are bugs in earlier versions.

OpenGL support for DX is quite buggy and devs don't recommend using it.
This is an old Glide build afterall. Indeed it caused me some texture problems in OpenGL (6600GT here).
Can't you play it in D3D?
