One of my favourite YouTubers is doing a ghost play-through of the original Deus Ex at the moment. They've done some really smart stuff for example sneaking past the guy on reception in UNATCO during the escape:

... and ghosting the bit where MJ12 troops attack you, after meeting with Stanton Dowd (which should be impossible):

Years ago, I remember reading something here about how you could escape without killing Anna. Does anyone remember how that's done?
Anyway, please check out their walkthrough. Plutonia is a wonderful ghost, their videos are not monetized and they're very high quality.

Supposedly you can wound Anna until she goes transparent, and then chase her through the door. I've never managed it, and it seems like the other guards can't open the door.

As I recall you had to throw a LAM at her as soon as the conversation ended and she'd run back through the door to escape the explosion. Never done it myself, though.

Yes - this is what I half remember as well. I'd forgotten the transparent bit, but that rings a bell.

Plutonia's latest video covers the Paris cathedral. Sadly, they use the kill phrase on Gunther (although I didn't realise that you get the kill phrase by instructing Jaime Reyes to remain at UNATCO until now).

My guess is that Gunther initiates conversation with the player even if they enter the computer room cloaked, but does anyone know this for sure? Perhaps once JC's cover is blown, then he's no longer a ghost, so ... he might as well kill Gunther?
I remember a description here years ago about how Gunther can actually run out of ammo, if you keep the boss fight going on long enough.
Plutonia also knocks out the dodgy mechanic in Morgan Everett's lab. What's the consequences of not doing this?

Yup. The other path gets you an upgrade canister, so I usually do that instead.

That's correct. It's a locational trigger.

Hmm. Perhaps he has to use the killphrase to prevent Gunther from seeing him immediately after the cutscene (during doesn't count).

Wouldn't surprise me; most AI's have finite ammo in Deus Ex. Maybe all of them. A lot of the Unatco/NSF battles devolve into knife fights if you don't intervene, lol.

If you don't take out that mechanic, Jock doesn't find the bomb, and blows up after dropping you off for the last time.

Thanks, @Pyrian. Great answers. I'd forgotten about the knife fights.
