Helios is programmed to always want the best for the human race, and intelligent enough to realise that that isn't total regimentation. Being very intelligent, unbiased, multiscient and not having to worry about power strugges, I think he'd make a wonderful overlord. You can't seriously say that we've made a good job of ruling themselves.

Perhaps, but as "Morpheus" said, "they (machines) still operate in a world bound by rules" - whereas humans do not. There's no way Helios could possibly define and totally comprehend what humans really want - because what they really want...is perpetually changing. I say plug in Helios to the appliances and let it have administration rights. Keep it away from nuclear weapons, biotech facilities, and the Playboy channel.:sly:
