Does anyone have one on Getting Started (installation, tweaking, etc.)?
I'll be playing around with the 1.19 editor over the weekend, so I'll try to put something like a "Beginner's Guide" together.
(Btw, sorry your thread got derailed so badly)

So are these new Dark tutorials, or new NewDark tutorials?
Both? :erg:
In case anyone is wondering, I have nothing against writing about NDark on the wiki. Just be sure you clearly identify what information is incompatible with classic Thief.

Maybe you should establish a convention for identifying which information is NewDark only, OldDark only, and Both.

Can images be imported into the Wiki?

Yes - assuming we're referring to the Dromesday Book, use the Media Manager link to upload images.

Should we? Just saying "this only works in Dromed 1.19" is sufficiently explicit. I guess the first thing that's needed is a page explaining what New Dark is.

...until/if/when the mysterious benefactors release a DromEd 1.20, 1.21, etc.

Point taken, although I hope they try to maintain a modicum of compatibility so 1.2x missions will continue to work with the 1.19 engine.
Actually, they should have called this one 1.20. From Thief 1 to Thief Gold, the version went from 1.33 to 1.37 and they were both fully compatible with each other. In Thief 2, the patch introduced an incompatible change from 1.07 to 1.18. So the formula would be X.YZ where X is the platform, Y is the major release, and Z is the patch level. The SS2 release works because the legacy version was 2.12 and the ND version is 2.4.
Anyway, I put up some pages about Dromed versions and New Dark. If someone draws an icon for it then I can add a :ND: tag.

if 1.18 missions are compatible with 1.19, I would say there is good chance that 1.19 missions will be compatible with 1.20 (or whatever comes whenever in the [possible] future). the biggest gap (between old dark and NewDark) is already bridged, or so it would seem.

I meant missions made with 1.20 still playing in 1.19.
Upward compatibility isn't always a given as the 1.07 to 1.18 transition taught us.

But ShockEd is 2.12 :p So much for my X.YZ theory
