Hi, I just got a new computer and slapped NewDark onto a copy of Thief II. The game runs great, the mod runs great, everything looks great, BUT I'm having just one small problem. I can't seem to alter the "gamma adjust" in game (using the + or - keys) or adjust it on the options menu (the slider bar). I mean I can hit the -,+ keys as much as I want and move the gamma adjust slider from one extreme to the other, but nothing has an actual effect on the brightness/darkness of the game as it seems to be set firmly in the middle (which is causing serious eye strain for me in darker areas of mission levels......and considering most of a Thief 2 game is set in the dark this is leading my eyes to feel like this: :wot:
Anybody else run into this problem or find a fix? I'm using a HP Pavillion Slimline with Windows 8, 64 bit. Considering how everything else is running perfect except for the gamma adjust, I'm hoping there's an easy fix (crosses fingers)....

your problem's name is intel integrated graphics. it has two solutions:
-edit cam_ext.cfg and uncomment (remove the
; from the beginning of) the
d3d_disp_no_rgb10_buf line. this can cause the skies to look slightly worse.
-buy (

in the long(er) run, the second one would be more preferable.
*in case you are actually going to consider this, do post your pc's exact series model, just to be sure it's fully compatible.

That was the fix VooDoo (editing the cam_ext line)! :cheeky:
Thanks so much, I knew the fine folks on the Thief forums wouldn't let me down. Now I can put up the "Red Eye relief drops" and give my strained peepers a break!

hey, i'm having the same problem except I can't find the "d3d_disp_no_rgb10_buf" line that was mentioned... plus I only seem to have a cam.cgf file, not cam_ext.cgf. any suggestions??
