I get it. It's just that the word secure seemed a bit odd to me since it's simply impossible to secure entries for a contest. If I recall correctly, even before this contest, quite a few authors expressed interest in participating. Now imagine if the contest organizer annouced that we'd be getting at least five missions and only two came out. It'd just make everyone look bad, the organizer and the authors who couldn't make it.

Fully agree. Secure was misleading. I should have worded that differently in my previous post.

In the fighting arena area, look up.

House of the architect can't find bafford's scepter, I found the fake version, and constantine's sword though
[EDIT] and I immediately found it at the top floor in the room of the Architect. Sorry...
Very fun map, it is a romp, and a lot of surprisingly good aestethical ideas. The downturned gargoyle acting as water source for a pool was an inspired detail that stuck with me, among other things ;).

In the fighting arena area, look up.Thanks, I found it! :)
All in all a really good mission, but I have to admit I got bored very fast cause it was just like playing the OM with the downwinders. Hearing the same conversations, having pretty much the same story..
Out of the two missions, house of the architect was the most enjoyable imo. It had some new additions giving me the "wow!" effect :D
A big thanks to both of the authors for their hard work :thumb:

I played both missions and they were absolutely amazing!
I finished them but I have a question about Intertheft,in various points of the mission i suddenly get a failed objective of killing an unarmed person. I never killed anyone while playing and when i reload from a previous save I don't get the same notification anymore and continue playing normally so I guess there wasn't a servant drowning somewhere without me knowing afterall?! Has that happened to anyone else?

After playing both missions, I think Intertheft edges out House of the Architect by a slim margin. Whilst Architect is a great mansion romp with some great twists, I feel like Intertheft is just a tighter package all around. Turning Thieves Guild into something truly worth playing is no easy feat. Hoping both authors continue making FM's, for their debut releases they are both excellent.

Both missions are great. House of the Architect definitely did a special take on The Sword's weirdness. The idea of superimposing lanterns on statue heads was so effective. And the last part in that fire shadow dimension... i let out an audible "wow". And Intertheft is pretty much the only way I'll ever play something approximating Thieve's Guild now. The original mission apart from its frustrating tedium was pretty barebones, which made for a sort of haunting atmosphere I suppose, but this adaptation has just the perfect choice of textures... never boring to look at. And I'll consider turning texture filtering off for other FM playthroughs from now on.
All around fantastic takes on the Thief 1 atmosphere and gameplay, and I'd love to see more from these authors.

The voting page is up, cast you votes sometime within the next month. And I encourage you to leave comments on these missions, especially given that these are two first time authors.
