Or your friendly neigbourhood torrent site, of course. Just started listening, so no judgement calls yet. Worth noting that this one's not all instrumental like Ghosts I-IV, in case there's any freaks out there that get turned off by that sort of thing.

Awesome, just started the torrent.

It's very cool and all, and I'm not knocking it, but what's up with Trent Reznor giving away all his music lately?

I think they're experimenting with distribution methods. This album is for free, but there will be a "boxed" version, I guess they'll analyze how much of it is bought or something. I'm sure Ghosts was partly an experiment like this, too.
As for the album, it's not bad, but it doesn't have the impact of some of his previous work for me. Ghosts was something new and interesting, but this just sounds like more of the same NIN. Just my first impression, though.

More people listening might equate to more tickets sold while on tour. From everything I gather, that's where the real money's at.

Thanks, Morte.
I've had a couple of (brief) listens so far, and yeah, it's mostly more of the same NIN. Which isn't bad at all.
I get the distinct impression TR and co had... fun with this one. Sounds quite bouncy in parts.

Just downloaded the mp3 version and I like it so far, pretty bouncy and I expect I'll be dancing to at least some of the tracks when I'm out clubbing. Another album to go on my evergrowing list of music to buy.
