It is definitely funny. We need to laugh, it is healthy. And misfortunes of others are one prime source for laughs. Even if the laugh has a bitter aftertaste sometimes.
Shot down helicopters are of course less fun. (and let's keep the politics about who should shoot whom out of this thread)
And BEAR, it was Russian, and I doubt that in a combined oil-spill rescue practice they will let the Japanese drive their vessels. And that death-ray thingy was called SDI, no ;) ?
